Often yes, on a rear slope or flat section that is not visible from the street. Front-slope changes may need heritage review. We look at sight lines during the visit and tell you which route applies.

Replace. Fogging means the sealed glass unit has failed, and the flashing of that era is also at end of life. If the roof is due within a few years, do both together.
Yes. Shade and debris keep shingles damp, which feeds moss and speeds up wear. We recommend trimming overhanging limbs and keeping valleys clear; we can quote gutter guards with the roof.
