Between the lake and the Escarpment, Burlington roofs work hard. We install VELUX skylights and replace roofs across the city, from Aldershot to Alton Village.
Burlington spread north from the lake over sixty years, so the further you are from Lakeshore Road, the newer your roof is likely to be.
Roseland, Shoreacres, Elizabeth Gardens and Aldershot have 1950s–60s bungalows and side-splits with low attics and mature trees. Sun tunnels and compact VELUX skylights bring light into small hallways and bathrooms.
Brant Hills, Tyandaga, Headon Forest and Palmer are largely 1970s–80s homes now on their second roof, often with original skylights that are well past sealed-unit life.
Millcroft, Orchard and Alton Village are 1990s–2000s homes with complex roofs and big foyers. Many original builder roofs are now coming due.
Burlington’s geography funnels weather. That shapes how we build roofs here.
Cutting a new skylight opening is structural work and needs a City of Burlington building permit; like-for-like re-roofing and same-size skylight replacement usually do not. We confirm at the site visit.

Yes. Our base is in Etobicoke, about 35 minutes along the QEW, and Burlington is part of our regular service area.
VELUX 2026 list prices run $285 to $1,035 for a fixed skylight and $1,738 to $3,609 for solar venting, plus $138 to $272 for flashing. Installation is quoted after a site visit. See the skylight price guide.
If there is attic space between the roof and ceiling and you mainly want daylight, a sun tunnel is simpler and cheaper. If you want a view or ventilation, a venting skylight with a shaft is better. We will show you both options.
Not necessarily. Book an inspection: we check for granule loss, soft decking, flashing and ventilation, and give you an honest estimate of remaining life.
Yes, and it is the best time. The flashing is already exposed, so combining both saves labour and matches the new roof.
